Job Purpose/Overview


At Lavazza North America, the Sr. HR Manager will plan, lead, and execute talent and culture priorities in alignment with business priorities.  This individual will personally partner with the Commercial (Demand) functions including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Commercial Strategy. This role also has oversight accountability for the Corporate and Operating (Supply) functions. Additionally, you will collaborate with Senior Leaders in these groups to create human capital strategies that support the vision and goals of the organization. This role leads a team of 8. The Director will be directly responsible for ongoing coaching and development of their direct reports. It also requires excellent partnership with its COE partners including L&D, Comp & Ben, and Employee Experience.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide consultative support and strategic guidance on HR topics. This includes, but is not limited to, associate relations, performance management, hiring, and ongoing strategic initiatives. 
  • Plans, develops, and implements policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs. 
  • Support department in its recruiting efforts by collaborating with managers and internal recruiter. Anticipate staffing needs and work proactively to develop a staffing strategy.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Leads succession and talent planning in partnership with client groups
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources; and communicates changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Helps to ensure adherence to department budgets (recruiting, consulting, training, etc.) 
  • Performs other duties as required.



Job Specifications/Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR, at the Senior leadership level in a similar capacity. Experience managing diverse activities in fast paced and growing business.
  • Ability to build and manage strong, collaborative working relationships and carry high credibility with senior leaders, as well influence at all organizational levels.
  • PHR/SHRM or other relevent HR Certification preferred. 
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Marketing functions strongly preferred
  • Prior experience managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior level stakeholders
  • Experience leading change management and other related OD projects that contributed to company culture and other key business priorities
  • Project management experience, high-level organizational skills and experience working with outside vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Experience with Success Factors preferred.
