Job Purpose/Overview


At Lavazza, the Sr BM for the Home channel, will be a key player to drive Lavazza North American strategy and growth agenda. They will be responsible for the entire channel business performance and will lead the development and execution of consumer & customer-centric strategies to support our financial goals. They will partner very closely with key sales and channel leads to develop and execute consumer and customer growth agendas.

 

Location: West Chester, PA   AND/OR  New York, NY

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Leadership: 
•    Build, lead and develop the team to maximize their contributions 
Business Management & Financial Performance: 
•    Monitor and analyse how the business is performing, drive revenue and market share growth, contribute to business planning cycle (strat plan, annual budget, monthly reviews…) and manage costs/budget.
Channel strategy & Portfolio management: 
•    Develop and deliver a compelling and achievable vision for the portfolio, connecting where to play with how to win, across both geographies (US and Canada)
•    Define the strategic positioning for the channel and optimize the portfolio (Roast & Ground, Whole Beans, Single serve)
Innovation & Commercialization: 
•    Set innovation roadmap for the portfolio to meet consumer & customer needs and support growth objectives
•    Lead commercialization of new products and platforms in collaboration with internal Creative team, R&D, Supply Chain, Business Operations and Finance
•    Size new product opportunities and own volume forecasts with Sales, E-comm, Business Operations
•    Build and execute successful launch plans adapted to the retail/home channel 
Insights & Analytics: 
•    Leverage syndicated and proprietary data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, first-party data) to track in-market performance and develop a holistic view of the category, competitors, and customers
•    Leverage data to draw actionable insights and build consumer/customer strategies accordingly
•    Partner with Business Operations and Sales teams to enhance demand planning, forecast accuracy; and own NPD forecasting process
Brand promotion and activation: 
•    Design & execute shopper marketing plans for our key retail customers build brand equity and drive in-market performance, supporting our brand goals
•    Collaborate with Sales teams to translate brand strategy to customer plans through compelling selling materials
Project Management: 
•    Ensure key initiatives are moving on schedule, partnering with the different stakeholders
Cross-functional collaboration: 
•    Work closely with cross-functional partners in the local market and Italian Head Quarters
•    Collaborate across Business Operations, Sales, E-Commerce on digital, social, shopper, PR, influencer to ensure product availability and facilitate omnichannel product launches
 

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

•    Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, Marketing or related business field required; MBA preferred

•    Minimum of 7 years of related experience is required; CPG industry experience strongly preferred
•    Strong cross-functional leadership: demonstrated ability to create direction and align stakeholders
•    Strong analytical skills: demonstrated ability to translate data into insights and actionable plans
•    Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver multiples projects on time, maintaining high standards
•    Consumer-first mindset and passion for driving brand growth
•    Solution-oriented team player
•    Positivity, grit, entrepreneurial spirit, bias for action
