SAP Business/System Integration Analyst (Supply/Production Planning)

Job Purpose/Overview

At Lavazza, the SAP Business System Integration Analyst role is to deliver optimal business process performance by developing, implementing and measuring process improvement activities. This role handles the management of all the process and systems aspects of the functional expert organization in order to deliver best in class service and efficient support to the business. 
 

This role will drive business solutions and improvements working closely with the business community and through a strong understanding of our systems, processes, and continuous improvement practices.  The position is also responsible for supporting the North American SAP production environment for incident and change management working closely with the SAP global technical team.
 

Ultimately the SAP Business/System Analyst will be recognized as an expert for the Supply, Production Planning functional area and drive the functional process and systems agenda. This role will be directly responsible for our North America market and requires expert functional knowledge of the Supply, Material & Production Planning areas.  In addition, the role will also be a North America single point of contact for other SAP Functional areas that include:
•    Plant Maintenance
•    Warehouse Management
•    SAP HRM

For these areas, the ideal candidate will work closely with our UK Functional Experts and Technical Support & Development teams located in Europe.   Experience in these other SAP functional areas is a plus. 
This role is a key member of the Global Functional Analyst team based in the UK.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead concurrent projects with cross functional teams, business leaders, and global technical team.
•    Evaluate business requirements, produce requirements documentation, assess on cost/benefit basis and agreeing business change and system developments to complete implementation scope
•    Translate agreed requirements into functional documentation enabling Development teams to apply necessary changes to the SAP modules.

•    Ensure system is tested against all relevant business scenarios and processes through the facilitation and participation of systems testing and UAT testing.
•    Train Key Users in system and support them in training End Users to ensure seamless change management through nurture period.
•    Sign off of new process and software releases on behalf of the business unit.

Application Support & Business Process Standardization
•    Evaluate the effectiveness of the current business processes within SAP Material & Production Planning, and any supporting systems applications. Lead, facilitate, and support business process standardization and effectiveness.
•    Diagnose the root cause of business incidents, recommend changes to fine tune operations, and direct associates in the implementation of those solutions. Escalate where appropriate with Core Services in MIS.
•    Review open tickets with Core Services to ensure timely resolution, identify and remove roadblock for resolution. Periodically review the status of tickets and communicate update to markets.
•    Identify and pursue development of new processes and applications that increase business benefits and or drive systems utilization benefits.
•    Build and Develop strong relationships with Market Experts (Lead Key User in market) to ensure best practice sharing across markets, extend where possible local CIP’s into global CIPS and ensure thorough testing of all changes and Upgrades.
•    Review Integration requests for complexity and collaborate with Integration development team to deliver connectivity solutions.
•    Provide a framework, train, develop and support a strong key user community to support users in day-to-day operations. 
•    Measure process adherence and report to the business, challenge and influence functions to address.

Global Team & Standardization
•    This position is a member of the Global Functional Analyst team based in the UK.  All regional development activities would need to follow the global change process and follow standards and approvals.
•    Participate and lead global team meetings representing North American Stakeholders
•    Contribute and influence annual project and budget planning
•    Collaborate with other FE members with expertise in other SAP business areas.
•    Provide and receive cross-training as required, working with other FE team members.

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications
 

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, Business or related
  • SAP Certification (ECC FI, SCM, BI) a plus
  • 3+ years of functional SAP experience in Supply, Material & Production Planning & BI Reporting
  • Experience in one or more of the following business areas: Plant Maintenance, Warehouse Management, BI/BW is a plus.
  • Additional experience with business analysis & leading SAP projects.
  • Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.  Knowledge of Service Now or similar IT service management concepts.
  • Project management experience and the ability to lead concurrent projects.
  • Must be able to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and drive for results.
  • Effective influence and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong process management background.

 

Knowledge/Experience

  • Five plus years of functional SAP experience in one or more of the following business areas: Supply, Production Planning, and BI Reporting.  Experience in Plant Maintenance, Warehouse Mgr, & SAP HRM a plus.
  • Additional experience with business analysis & leading SAP projects.
  • Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. 
  • Knowledge of Service.
  • Now or similar IT service management concepts.
  • Project management experience and the ability to lead concurrent projects.
