JOB OVERVIEW

The Lavazza North America, the Raw Material Planning Specialist is a critical role within our Supply & Logistics team. The Raw Material Planning Specialist is responsible to ensure the availability of the packaging and ingredients for producing all the internal finished goods, to maintain healthy stock levels, and to liaise with various department as necessary. The reorders/forecast are performed on BY software (S&OP) with the help of other tools such as SAP ECC, SAP HANA and Microsoft Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring the availability of packaging materials and ingredients (except for coffee and consumables) based on the internal production plan
• Applying any updates to the plans to react ASAP in case of sales forecasted changes
• Keeping materials stock aligned with the vendors
• Placing scheduling lines and 12-month forecast to each supplier
• Develop strategies and tactics to effectively manage inventory, with the intention of minimizing costs and improving supply chain performance
• Support the Operations planner with info/actions related to raw and packaging materials reorders
• Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with each supplier, local Procurement and Plant Logistics departments to resolve conflicts, communicate any shortages and improve production efficiency
• Utilize knowledge and expertise to support various productivity improvement initiatives
• Establish productive and dynamic working relationship with cross functional partners, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communication
• Manage of suppliers KPI and forecasting reports
• Liaison with Marketing and R&D departments on new component materials for NPDs launch schedule
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Manager  
• 3-5 years of related experience in Production Planning or Scheduling
• Experience in Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) software preferred
• Experience with SAP, ERP system with EDI required
• Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word) required
• Project management experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communications (verbal/written) skills across all levels of operation
• Self-motivated and ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities
• Ability to work well in a team environment 
• Ability to walk/sit/stand for long periods
