Maintenance Execution - B

MISSION

'The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of maintenance activities for machinery and equipment, while optimizing costs and adhering to quality and safety standards. This involves supporting the evaluation of machinery and equipment changes or updates, as well as their design and implementation from a maintenance perspective, managing revision programs, and coordinates activities to maintain plant workability, energy supply, buildings structural integrity and safety systems. Further, the role entails conducting regular inspections and audits , and monitoring KPIs an metrics to measure performance metrics of maintenance interventions, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supports the evaluation of proposals for machinery and equipment changes, updates, or replacements, assessing the need for new investments based on specific factors, including current performance, maintenance costs, technological advancements, and production requirements;
2. Supports the design and planning of new machinery and equipment from a maintenance perspective, and assists the installation process to prevent future operational issues and ensure optimal starting condition;
3. Coordinates and organizes maintenance activities to ensure plant workability, production lines reliability and efficiency, identifying and resolving critical potential issues before leading to disruptions and downtime;
4. Supervises and guides periodical revision programs for regular maintenance checks and interventions, including ordinary maintenance (routine tasks to keep machinery and equipment running), extraordinary maintenance (e.g., significant repairs or upgrades), and soft interventions;
5. Ensures the management of plant and offices utilities (e.g., hot and cold water, steam, HVAC, etc.) to guarantee the energy supply and uninterrupted production processes;
6. Ensures maintenance activities in relation to any buildings, including structural integrity, safety systems, and other essential building services;
7. Optimizes maintenance costs while achieving defined production results, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, respecting the given deadlines;
8. Ensures accurate and detailed records of maintenance interventions, including work performed, parts used, time taken, and any issues encountered during the maintenance execution process;
9. Conducts regular inspections and audits to verify maintenance work is performed to the required quality requirements and adhere to safety standards and regulations;
10. Ensures compliance to applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements;
11. Monitors KPIs and metrics to measure performance of maintenance interventions, providing reports to relevant stakeholders, and offering relevant insights and recommendations for improvement.
