OVERVIEW
At Lavazza North America, the Purchase Processes Development Specialist is responsible for managing the operational and transactional aspects related to procure-to pay processes and day to day management of purchasing documents related to raw materials and services. They will ensure data integrity and continuous improvement of the functional aspects of processes, systems, and reporting. While supporting category buyers with the effective execution of the sourcing strategy and Supplier Relationship Management activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop supplier relationships to ensure effective day to day delivery of goods and services in a timely fashion.
- Effectively communicate with all internal stakeholder regarding supply capability and engaging them as required to ensure alignment and support for any issue resolution that is required.
- Deliver commercial support to internal stakeholders in the development of sourcing or strategies tactical purchasing activities for low risk or commodity spend areas.
- Responsible for effective process management and governance for day to day buying activities for all Lavazza North America Indirect & Direct (Raw Material) purchasing. Including stakeholder activity to help continuously improve internal procurement metrics.
- Accountable for incorporating supply chain considerations in procurement decisions to drive an effective and efficient supply chain.
- Responsible for training and managing stakeholder activity in SAP purchasing to ensure proper procure-to-pay governance and continuously improve internal procurement metrics.
- Manage all training and stakeholder activity in procurement managed systems, portals, and dashboards.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a procurement role
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus (Microsoft, SAP, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with a process-oriented mindset and keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle time-sensitive tasks effectively
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment
