JOB OVERVIEW

At Lavazza North America, At Lavazza North America, the Project Manager will be accountable for driving the on time and in full delivery of key strategic innovation, cost savings, graphic and operational projects within Lavazza Group North America R&D team.  This includes leading a cross-functional team to deliver projects from idea to implementation. The Project Manager will act as a custodian for the PMO process and tools and will be responsible for training and deployment of new standard practices. He or she will drive project result accountability and report on key metrics for the business, enabling tactical and strategic decision making.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall accountability for project delivery and process adherence on the highest priority projects within Lavazza Group North American region. 
  • Creates, cascades, and elevates internal communication to critical stakeholders with regards to project performance and adherence to scope, timeline, financial targets and critical risks. 
  • Facilitate and drive project kick-off meeting to assure each project has a clear and approved scope that is vetted by key cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Accountable to identify, resolve and escalate issues that risk the project delivery to full scope.
  • Elevates real-time risks and issues while also presenting new projects and stage gates to Director/VP level governance.
  • Structures multi-functional projects on a timeline with clear milestones and deliverables to optimize performance and speed while maintaining an acceptable risk.
  • Drives accountability and any necessary elevations with project team members to implement activities & deliver project/product performance aligned to expectations.
  • Leads project team meetings, captures and distributes actions and ensures deliverable follow up. 
  • Facilitates project gate reviews governance team meetings.
  • Ensures record and document management, including change control process is achieved with quality. 
  • Responsible for budget / cost tracking.
  • Leads learning reviews and drives post launch performance reviews. 
  • Ensures all data provided into Project Management System is accurate and updated (at minimum) monthly for all assigned projects.  
  • Functional expert in PMO processes, Lavazza NPD Stage Gate and Change Process, Project Management Tool, including new deployments and upgrades as relevant.
  • Communicates critical information of project progress, key risks and recommendations to PMO and governance board when necessary.
  • Seeks feedback and leads continuous improvement efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and practices in place.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related fields required.
  • MBA and/or PMP desired.
  • 3-5 years Project Management experience.
  • Work experience in Activity Management, Innovation Management, Product Life Cycle Management, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Sales Engineering, Commercial or business analytical role preferred.
  • Consumer Product Goods experience preferred.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office must, MS Project preferred.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Hybrid: 3 days onsite at our West Chester, PA site and 2 days remote.
