JOB OVERVIEW
Lavazza North America is embarking on a growth plan to substantially expand our market share in the Americas. As part of this growth plan, a large focus will be on our Office Coffee Sales channel, optimizing our relationships with key distributors. Along with offering a best-in-class range of solutions for the market, Lavazza is expanding our Sales team into new territories to best support this strategic business initiative.
At Lavazza North America, OP Independent Channel Manager position supports Lavazza North America’s Away from Home Channel, with a specific focus on Office Products Supply Channel (OP). This individual will be responsible for contributing to the strategic growth of OP sales within Lavazza North America, leading the relationship with key stakeholders on the Independent Accounts in the OP Channel, foster growth of new and existing OP clients and gaining market share, providing strategic and operational leadership to deliver the short - and long-term objectives, as well as supporting the 3–5-year business plan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of the Lavazza North America segment annual business plan through robust knowledge of the industry and assigned channel, maximizing business opportunities, driving profitable growth, and managing company objectives.
- Build and establish strong relationships with senior industry leaders to drive credibility and connection to effectively influence key decision makers and customers.
- Develop and present quarter/annual top-to-top customer/distributor business reviews, providing fact-based leadership and insights relative to customer and category performance.
- Drive access to potential new OP customers and gain new distribution channels through effective utilization of the team’s knowledge and in-depth understanding of the geography and key relationships
- Drive on penetration of existing and new acquired customers and gain volume share from competition through effective utilization of the team’s knowledge and in-depth understanding of the geography and key relationships.
- Properly plan targets, incentives and goals by customer within the channel of responsibility, monitor the progress, intercept and solve risks and drive execution towards achievement of sales team goals.
- Collaborate and coordinate the brokers on accounts management, key account penetration and identified problem resolution.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the capabilities and needs of distributor partners and ensuring our strategic plans are aligned to their overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team such as OP National Accounts to deliver both channel and department sales growth.
- Manage Independent Accounts maximizing business opportunities, drive profitable growth, grow market shares, and manage company objectives
- Engage with Wholesaler/Redistributor in the OP space to intercept growth opportunities and leverage relational assets to activate new OP independent account.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ or more years of distributor experience in broker management.
- 5+ or more years of experience in the selling of CPG products, Office Coffee preferred.
- 2+ or more years of experience in marketing, analytics and/or research.
- Ability to define business opportunities, gather appropriate data to support, organize information, write presentation, and deliver to effectively influence key decision maker.
- Ability to build, maintain and solidify beneficial and long-term relationship with customers’ key stakeholders.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and activities.
- Understand cross functional implication of actions, coordinate major activities and initiatives, communicating issues and impacts.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel as needed up to 75% of time.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
