Job Purpose/Overview

 

At Lavazza, the Marketing Intern will assist the U.S. Retail Marketing team with various marketing projects, including execution support of retail customer programs, sales asset management for the U.S. Retail Sales team, new product launch support, and customer marketing budget management, supporting the Lavazza and Kicking Horse Coffee brands. This internship will allow the student to gain an understanding of the U.S. retail environment, learn to leverage consumer and category insights to build cross channel shopper marketing programs, collaborate with other marketing functions and strengthen their project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support strategy, execution, and performance measurement of U.S. retail marketing programs (including loyalty card programs, digital coupons, in store signage etc.), will be receiving training on Nielsen syndicated database, creative development process, as well as other important insights platforms.
  • Review and update existing marketing assets including PowerPoint decks, sell sheets, trade show materials and other point of sale materials
  • Assist with launch of new retail products, creating and maintaining marketing assets 
  • Help with customer marketing budget organization and management
  • Monitor competitors and share findings in an effort to improve our own innovation initiatives
  • Internship project: At the beginning of the assignment, the manager and intern will meet to identify a potential retail marketing project that aligns with the intern’s specific interests. Once aligned, the intern will work on a semester-long project, with a presentation to the Lavazza marketing team at the end of the internship. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college program majoring in Marketing or related field, required 
  • Ability to begin in Fall 2023, fulltime 
  • MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • B2B / CPG marketing experience helpful
