JOB OVERVIEW
At Lavazza, the Maintenance Technician III is the lead shift technical authority ensuring that the equipment operates in the safest, most productive and reliable electro-mechanical condition.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical shift leadership, coordination, and oversight of shift maintenance activities and personnel.
- Analyze condition, troubleshoot failures, perform equipment repairs using standard procedures.
- Interface with Operational Shift Manager (OSM) and production personnel to determine maintenance priorities and requirements.
- Lead problem solving and resolution of machine issues or reliability improvements.
- Train and mentor Technician I / II on team and across teams.
- Maintain machine standards of operation in accordance with baseline hardware and software installation / measurements / equipment standard setup manual.
- Develop, document and execute corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance procedures to ensure a high level of machine utilization (OEE) and low scrap level.
- Drive and lead continuous improvement of equipment / process safety, operation and efficiency.
- Oversee the equipment setup and change-over process.
- Support new system installations, R&D and engineering projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Maintenance shop.
- Ensure the health and safety of personnel and care of the property, equipment, and product under their control.
- Assist with Maintenance Manager duties when need arises.
- Partner with other technicians on shift and cross shifts to continually complete objectives.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years equipment maintenance experience.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Advanced /Expert knowledge in mechanical & electrical (motor circuits, VFDs, Servos, PLCs, single / three phase electrical systems) troubleshooting and repair of automated equipment
- Experience in reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints, schematics and equipment documentation
- Knowledge of hand and power tool application, operation and use.
- Experience as a leader, trainer, influencer, and mentor of technical personnel (Preferred)
- Expert knowledge of the high speed packaging line, roasting and grinding processing equipment (Preferred)
- Ability to continuously learn and apply new methods and techniques
- Ability to lift 50lbs and walk/stand for long periods
- Proven punctuality and attendance record
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screen
