Job Purpose/Overview


At Lavazza North America, the L&D Specialist plans and manages activities related to L and OD initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement, orientation, and leadership development. Provides analysis, communications, and project management activities as well as system analysis, upgrade design, and ongoing end-user support. Designs, develops and delivers related content.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate existing classes that support our core proficiencies in the classroom as well as in virtual platforms; performs follow-up to evaluate learning application and impact
  • Oversee all new hire onboarding & orientation initiatives, including: 
  • Maintaining communication with candidates and managers throughout the entire pre-onboarding & onboarding process.
  • Facilitating the Lavazza new hire orientation program for all new hires.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for onboarding, offboarding, and other HR processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients (managers, employees) and candidates by efficiently and effectively answering questions, providing them with accurate information and/or sound advice within defined timelines.
  • Help to identify and drive process improvement and standardization opportunities to provide an exceptional employee/candidate experience, identify areas for automation and reduction of risk.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our SuccessFactors LMS and other innovative learning technologies. This includes overseeing user management, course development, and in-depth learning analytics.
  • Track and monitor completions/course attendance within the myLearning LMS(SuccessFactors)
  • Develop and deploy course communications, including advertisements, program session invitations, pre and post-work messaging, and others assigned
  • Assists with the organization and curation of existing content into learning paths that meet the needs of disciplines, departments, and employees
  • Assists in the evaluation process to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning solutions and make recommendations for future interventions
  • Assist with the creation and development of new training programs and creative learning solutions to address capability gaps
  • Serve as the platform owner for the local intranet (SharePoint). This includes identifying and recommending opportunities for a more efficient and distributed management of intranet content and features; keep content stakeholders engaged and responsible for their content, use cases and audiences
  • Assist with Employee Engagement initiatives and Employee Engagement survey coordination
  • Stays abreast of current trends and best practices and shares insights upline
  • All other activities, tasks, project work and responsibilities as assigned

 

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors Degree in HR or related discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years of related HR or L&D experience required 
  • Strong proficiency in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) 
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods and principles of adult learning 
  • Knowledge of LMS software a plus 
  • Proactive, organized approach to multitasking
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written, oral, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new technology as needed
