MISSION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Monitors HSE laws, regulations, and standards to ensure the organization's compliance and mitigate regulatory risks within plants;
3. Manages regular risk assessments for the plant of responsibility to identify potential hazards like chemical spills, exposure to toxins, fire hazards associated with flammable materials, and risks related to operating heavy machinery, and develops procedures to mitigate these risks;
4. Collaborates with plant engineers and production supervisors to ensure a coordinated approach to safety across all aspects of plant planning and production operational processes;
5. Manages the permitting process for any hazardous materials or processes used within the plant, and collaborates with relevant teams during the design, purchasing, and installation of machines and equipment to ensure safety compliance;
6. Manages environmental and energy initiatives and programs to minimize environmental impact within organization's plants;
7. Manages the editing and updating of local working instructions and procedures, ensuring compliance through periodic inspections and immediate updates as needed;
8. Manages the planning and scheduling of regular training sessions for employees on HSE protocols within the plant of responsibility, including handling hazardous materials, confined space entry procedures, and emergency response protocols;
9. Manages investigations of workplace accidents or incidents to understand root causes and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences;
10. Manages necessary HSE documentation for external agencies, firms, government bodies, and other relevant entities;
11. Manages and maintains relations with concerned public authorities and collaborate during inspections and periodical visits to working areas, ensuring smooth communication and compliance;
12. Monitors KPIs and metrics to evaluate the performance of HSE activities within the plant of responsibility, identifying areas for improvement and providing reports with recommendations for improvement to senior management.
