Senior Firmware Engineer

MISSION

'The role is responsible for managing the design and development of advanced and innovative electronic components and systems for coffee machines, ensuring high-quality performance and advanced functionality. This involves collaborating with Research and Development teams focused on coffee machines development to define technical requirements and functionality of electronic components, ensuring synergy with the other parts of coffee machines. Further, the role entails identifying and managing relationships with external electronic design partners and suppliers, and managing testing and validation activities of electronic design and components with coffee machines. Lastly, the role requires monitoring KPIs and metrics to evaluate the performance of electronics development activities, monitoring trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and identify opportunities for innovation of improvement of coffee machine electronics.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manages all the activities related to the design and development of advanced and innovative electronic components for coffee machines, ensuring high-quality performance and advanced functionality;
2. Manages the budget allocated for coffee machine electronic design and development activities, effectively allocating resources and ensuring adherence to budget constraints;
3. Collaborates with other Research and Development teams focused on coffee machines development to define the requirements and functionality of the electronic components of coffee machines, ensuring seamless integration with overall system, components and functional requirements of the coffee machine;
4. Identifies, evaluates and manages the collaboration with partners and suppliers for electronic design and sourcing of components and subsystems, negotiating contracts that align with company's requirements, and evaluating the performance of partnerships;
5. Manages testing and validation process, ensuring that electronic components and systems align with coffee machine specifications, performance standards and quality requirements;
6. Ensures accurate maintenance of comprehensive documentation of electronic design specifications, testing procedures, and project progress for future reference and continuous improvement;
7. Ensures all electronic components and systems comply with relevant industry regulations and standards;
8. Monitors KPIs and metrics to evaluate the performance of coffee machine electronics development activities, identifying areas for improvement and proposing changes;
9. Monitors industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronics, identifying opportunities for improvement or innovation of coffee machines.
