Key Account Manager Austria (m/w/d)

 

This is a permanent, full-time position in Vienna to be filled as soon as possible.

 

 

The position holder Key Account Manager (m/w/d) drives the development and profitable growth of his/her assigned customer(s) together with the National Key Account Manager. In alignment with the company's annual commercial strategy, he/she will develop the short and mid-term customer plans and secure adequate execution to reach the agreed upon annual objectives.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Defines and manages all commercial activities for assigned customers in line with the annual commercial plan for the entire product range
  • Develops and delivers annual/midyear agreements for assigned customers with the objective of reaching customer-specific volume/turnover and distribution targets; ensures an effective assortment and activation plan in line with terms and conditions.
  • Identifies trends within the coffee sector and transforms them into business opportunities for Lavazza with the objective of driving growth of existing customers and winning new customers
  • Provides regular analysis on customer performance (turnover, margin, growth) to identify gaps and opportunities; creates insight-based initiatives to drive customer development and future customer growth
  • Owns the monthly/annual forecasting and demand planning process in collaboration with the National Key Account Manager
  • Manages customer budgets within the agreed upon framework, escalating deviations in a timely manner; continuously seeks to drive profitable customer growth

 

 

Deliverables

 

  • Sales volume, revenue/gross margin to ensure continued and profitable growth of assigned customer(s)
  • Quantitative and qualitative objectives for assortment, distribution, promotion and activation
  • Market entry for Lavazza brand in dedicated alternative customers
  • Cross-departmental collaboration to reach joint goals
  • Strong team engagement measured by team survey; partaking in the Lavazza sales talent pipeline

 

 

Professional experience

 

  • 1-2 years of key account experience, preferably in FMCG
  • Cross-functional experience in category management or similar conceptual functions is preferred
  • Proven track record in managing customer agreements/annual negotiations and successfully developing a brand/product range
  • Strong financial acumen
  • University degree (or similar) in business administration or a related field; fluent in German & English
