JOB OVERVIEW

At Lavazza North America, the Jr Financial Analyst, Retail position supports Lavazza North America’s Senior Financial Analyst, Retail in ensuring accurate retail promotional planning through the Trade Promotional Management (TPM) tool. This role is also essential in managing the coupons budget, forecast, and actuals in close collaboration with the Marketing Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for gathering the planned promotional data from Sales Department and uploading into the TPM tool each fiscal year.
• Assist and collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst Retail and all the departments involved in the TPM process (Sales, Commercial Strategy, Accounting and Accounts Receivable) on building guidelines around it.
• Pre - and post-evaluation activities to support the understanding on the effectiveness of each promotion (ROI).
• Participate in monthly meetings with the Sales department to assist in reviewing and understanding promotional performance and ensuring accurate trade spend reporting.
• Process and send list of updated promotion agreements to Accounting Department on a monthly basis in order to support the month end closing accuracy.
• Work closely with Marketing department on managing coupons budget, forecast and actual. Analyze their performance and reassure the monthly accrual accuracy.
• Assist the Senior Financial Analyst Retail on the budget/forecast preparation.
• Ad hoc special projects as needed to support the Senior financial Analyst Retail and the business needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or data analytics.
• CPG experience preferred.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PPT) required.
• PowerBI preferred. 
• SAP ECC and/or Salesforce experience a plus.
• Ability to efficiently and effectively learn new technology (Proprietary Lavazza tools).
• High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize.
• Highly agile and thrives in a fast-paced working environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Highly organized and strong project management skills.
• Strong collaboration and with the ability to work well cross functionally with all levels of the organization - peers to Executives.
• Minimal travel (<10% per year).
