Job Description

As a Food Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production planning is aligned with commercial needs and runs efficiently. You’ll develop medium- and long-term production plans based on demand forecasts, allocate volumes across internal and external manufacturing sites, and support resource planning. You’ll also coordinate raw materials and packaging, contribute to new product development planning, and monitor KPIs to provide actionable insights to management.

 

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Commercial Demand Planning teams to gather and analyze forecasts by product and country.
  • Build and maintain medium- and long-term production plans.
  • Allocate production volumes across in-house and third-party sites, analyzing cost efficiency, capacity constraints, quality standards, and lead times.
  • Support production budget management and track costs and resource allocations (machinery, labor, materials).
  • Coordinate planning of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and packaging to ensure availability aligns with production needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D and Marketing to align production planning with new product development and launches.
  • Review and adjust production plans based on demand fluctuations, production capabilities, or external factors.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports with strategic insights.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production planning.

 

🧠 Requirements & Competencies

  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, with a strong focus on finished goods
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Fluent in English, confident in daily work and cross-functional collaboration.
