JOB OVERVIEW
At Lavazza, the Full Buy & Product Quality Specialist will perform the analysis requested for packaging, ingredients, finished goods, and brewer to ensure product quality, NSV growth, cost savings, and delivery of new product launches meets the consumer requirements and reliability in the market. The criticality of this role is to maintain the accuracy and traceability of results so that the quality of analysis is sustained within the desired timeframe.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage test sample collection, logging, and storage of products, cross referencing product labelling with lab work request and notifying Product Quality leadership if there are inconsistencies
- Prepare test samples for analytical testing
- Perform and document ingredient, packaging, brewer, verification, and calibration testing
- Maintain laboratory equipment in prime operating condition
- Perform analysis according to required Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Collect, collate, and disseminate analytical data, providing an analytical report applicable to stakeholders
- Deliver statistical analysis and reports for Special Projects from validation to conformance verification stage of project, link results of each project stage via report summaries
- Highlight out of specification or data irregularities to Product Quality leadership and other stakeholders
- Highlight variances between the practical applications of any SOPs to the accepted controlled document version
- Develop and train Drinks Analysts on SOPs
- Support external laboratory testing such as sample and results management
- Coordinate schedules with team members and collaborate prioritized testing to ensure results meet deadlines
- Inventory and maintain consumables and testing instruments for the laboratory, including internal verifications and calibrations
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to the testing protocols and ways of working
- Adhere to all safety procedures as required
- Maintain clean desk policy in all laboratory areas
- Follow good laboratory practices to maintain testing data and results
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Two year college degree from an accrediated institution, science-based or related field
- 2+ years working in a lab setting
- Skilled at technical report writing
- Experience with statistical software (such as Excel or Minitab)
- Experienced with laboratory techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail & scientific background
- Data entry and computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Be able to work under pressure and self-motivating
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled at technical report writing
- Experience with statistical software (such as Excel or Minitab)
- Knowledge of machine servicing is an asset
- Knowledge of software validation is an asset
