Job Purpose/Overview


At Lavazza, the Summer 2023 Engineering Intern will assist in the Manufacturing process and improvements in the areas of overall equipment effectiveness, reduction of scrap/waste, process improvements, drawing design utilizing AutoCAD/Solidworks, collect and analyse data and work on a continuous improvement project to yield results or process improvements in the aforementioned areas. 

During this internship, the intern will not only gain exposure to their desired industry, but will be able to gain exposure in all departments within Lavazza.

Key Responsibilities


  • Shadow Key Job Functions as part of Orientation
  • Understand and utilize Manufacturing Execution System
  • Collect data for assigned projects
  • Attend Project meetings and present information
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Update machine drawings utilizing AutoCAD/Solidworks
  • Complete an Engineering Internship project by the completion of internship
  • Other duties as assigned.



Job Specifications/Qualifications


  • Post high-school education and currently pursuing a four-year college degree from an accredited institution; Engineering, or related field majors required
  • MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • This intern will work closely with the Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Manager, Operations Managers and Factory Associates
  • Comply with all Quality, Safety and Food Safety requirements
