JOB OVERVIEW

At Lavazza North America, the Director of Office Coffee Sales (OCS) is responsible for leading the development of strategic business plans within the drinks segment and assigned customers, directs and delegates to a team of Sales Managers to lead the implementation of the national strategic and tactical objectives of Lavazza for Canada. The Director of OCS is also responsible for developing strategies that are be designed and implemented to successfully deliver both short term growth and profits targets for the business as well as supporting the 3-5 year business plan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong line management skills, driving team engagement and development.
  • Lead the development of drinks NA segment annual business plan through robust knowledge of our industry and assigned channels, maximizing business opportunities, driving profitable growth, growing share, and managing to company objectives.
  • Gain access to potential new customers and gaining new distribution through effective utilization of your team and knowledge of your geography and key contacts.
  • Key member of the OCS Sales Leadership Team driving an understanding of the capabilities and needs of distributor partners, ensuring our strategic plans are aligned to their overall business objectives.
  • Lead team to execute a robust demand plan, through analyzing trends, promotional activity, and product assortment to develop selling stories to deliver maximum sales and profits.
  • Develop and present annual top to top customer/distributor business reviews, providing “fact based” leadership and insights relative to customer and category performance.
  • Influencing Senior Leadership within your distributors’ key decision makers, customers, and end users.
  • Direct team to drive the delivery of complete customer satisfaction ensuring customer retention and long-term growth.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the selling of CPG products.
  • 5+ year of experience in a senior sales position in Away from Home channel.
  • 5+ years of distributor experience in broker management.
  • 2+ year of experience in marketing, analytics, or research.
  • Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) knowledge preferred.

  • Strong Planning skills – ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and activities.
  • Cross Functional Effectiveness – Understand cross functional implication of actions, coordinate major activities and initiatives, communicating issues and impacts.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time.
