Job Purpose/Overview

 

At Lavazza, the overall responsibility of the Director of Accounts Payable is to oversee and manage all aspects of the Account Payable department ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with client and vendor payment requirements. The A/P Director will establish and maintain adequate and appropriate internal controls for all payment functions, while managing relationships with internal client-facing teams, the rest of the finance function, and external vendors and clients. This role reports to the Controller and will manage a team of 4 FTE

 

Location: West Chester, PA  OR  New York, NY

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting principles for all disbursements
  • Management of weekly pay cycles and payment types
  • Reconciliation of vendor discrepancies
  • Reconciliation and management of employee credit card and travel expenses
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Development of performance metrics and service levels
  • Management of staff with required professional training and development
  • Monthly AP close procedures
  • Annual regulatory reporting
  • Vendor file maintenance
  • Audit compliance and reporting
  • Cash forecasting
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required 
  • Minimum 5+ years of A/P experience in a leadership or management role
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time
  • Ability to exhibit poise, composure and confidence when confronting stressful or high-pressure situations
  • Hands on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
  • Experienced in accounts payable and treasury software applications (SAP preferred)
