Job Purpose/Overview

 

At Lavazza, the Coffee Production Planner is a key contributor to the continuity and execution of manufacturing in West Chester. This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure appropriate green coffee coverage for the facility balancing capacity and need for the short-term production schedule. The role also will own the in-house inventory accuracy by conducting inventory counts and reconciliation adjustments. 

 

Location: West Chester, PA 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Weekly ordering and scheduling of green coffee deliveries to the West Chester plant
  • Daily monitoring of the green coffee inventory
  • Working with the Green Bean Operators and Senior Roaster to re-schedule deliveries based on need and capacity in the green coffee warehouse
  • Maintain organized traceability of all Purchase Orders and Delivery Extractions
  • Conduct inventory counts weekly or bi-weekly as needed
  • Weekend inventory counts as needed (few hours)
  • Timely inventory reconciliation adjustments to maintain accurate inventory stock in SAP
  • Troubleshoot any inventory discrepancies and maintain communication with appropriate associates to capture variance trends

 

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage industry preferred
  • Detail oriented and organized 
  • Planning experience preferred
  • SAP experience required 
  • Basic to moderate Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience working with suppliers and logistic partners
  • Must be available for up to 3 hours on weekends to perform inventory counts
  • Organization and prioritization skills 
  • Must be able to work and complete tasks on a deadline
