JOB OVERVIEW
The Business Development Associate position supports Lavazza North America’s Business Development, with a focus on Office Coffee Service (OCS). This individual will support the Business Development OCS team and OP sales team by ensuring flawless execution of general sales operations activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Special projects support cross functional AFH Commercial Team (e.g. New Product Development and Launch).
- Support head of the dept to define and execute sales strategy among different channels (Office Coffee, Office Supply and B2B E-commerce).
- Help coordination among different channel supporting directors of the dept. on lead generation, commercial policy, sales initiative and strategy roll-out.
- Monitor pricing among different channel (incl. compliance on MAP), support promotional activity execution and track results.
- Support E-commerce team and Marketing dept on digital asset creation, online content enhancement and identify improvement opportunities.
- Consolidate and manage reporting of direct and indirect customer sell-out data to assess actual performance vs contracted KPIs.
- Support entire dept over stock replenishment and forecasting process in coordination with Demand Planning dept and external stakeholders (customers, 3PL providers).
- Track, monitor and support new customer activation and internal set up.
- Liaise between sales and Demand Planning team to support in forecasting, including management of new business and/or lost business.
- Support cross functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Commercial Strategy) with sell-in reporting and analysis to support various aspects of the annual business planning – monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual budget planning, business development and NPD business cases.
- Manage general sales operations activities such as accurate and timely submission of rebates, POs, sales commissions, and contract updates for equipment changes.
- Manage sample orders for new customer and innovation.
- Cross team support on OCS and OP on customer engagement and lead gen/prospect funneling.
- Create and maintain instruction manuals/documentation of business process and timelines, critical activities, and key contacts to maintain business continuity as the cross functional team evolves.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Four year degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Business
- 2+ years experience supporting AFH channels and customers preferred
- 2+ years experience in strategic consulting and business development
- Demonstrated ability of proactively interpret digital trends and think criticality to challenge the status quo Experience working in a distributor environment preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high standing and abilities to present and communicate to a directive audience
- Highly organized and strong project management skills
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PPT) required
- Ability to efficiently and effectively learn new technology (Proprietary Lavazza tools)
- High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize
- Highly agile and thrives in a fast paced working environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong collaboration and with the ability to work well cross functionally with all levels of the organization - peers to Executives
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Less than 20% travel required, able to commute to NYC/ West Chester office as needed
