JOB OVERVIEW

The Lavazza North America, the Channel Strategy Associate Manager position supports Lavazza North America’s Away From Home Channel, with a specific focus on Food Service (FS). This individual will be accountable for diagnosing complex business issues, identifying key insights, and recommending action plans necessary to achieve the business’ short- and long-term objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver insights & strategic actions derived from sell-out/consumption, sell-in/shipment, industry publications, and other syndicated data sources
  • Develop, communicate, and course correct execution strategies to achieve long term objectives defined by the 5-year Strategic Plan
  • Drive development in the FS channel by delivering actionable recommendations for channel expansion, distribution opportunities, and delivering profitable and sustainable growth based on consumption and market trends
  • Develop fact-based selling stories and selling tools for the sales team to use with current and prospective customers
  • Develop and maintain actionable reporting and score carding for the FS Sales Team and cross functional departments that provides visibility on business performance vs budget and other strategic KPIs
  • Lead Monthly Business Reviews and collaborate with all functions 
  • Consolidate and manage reporting of direct and indirect customer sell-out data to assess actual performance vs contracted KPIs and monitor for areas of opportunity
  • Ad hoc strategic projects and support as needed to deliver business objectives for the FS Channel

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field 
  • 3+ years working experience in CPG Trade Marketing, Category Management, Sales, or Marketing required
  • Experience supporting Food Service channels and customers preferred
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PPT) required
  • Proficent with PowerBI or other BI tools (required)
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively learn new technology (Proprietary Lavazza tools)
  • Strong analytic and story telling capabilities to diagnosis complex business issues, visualize the data, identify the insights, and recommend clear action plans
  • Highly agile and thrives in a fast paced working environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills with the ability to work well cross functionally with all levels of the organization - peers to Executives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize

PHYSICAL/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal travel expectations: less than 10% per year, typically to NYC/WC office as needed. International travel possible.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
